Bio:

Christina studied Digital Media at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg, specializing in Interactive Media. In her master's thesis, she developed and tested heuristics for the evaluation of tabletop games. Christina completed a second Master's degree in Medialogy at Aalborg University Copenhagen (Denmark), where she focused on international usability and usability issues in virtual reality. As part of her final thesis, she created a handbook for student evaluation of virtual reality applications. Christina gained international work experience during an internship at the University of South Australia, where she also conducted usability studies.

After gaining research experience at the Center for Usability Research & Engineering (CURE) in Austria, Christina moved to celum, where she worked as a business consultant for Austrian and international clients and as a project consultant for the PinView research project. In 2010, Christina returned to CURE to focus on research in HCI related to privacy, security and trust as well as advanced interaction methods as research coordinator.

n 2014, Christina moved to AIT, where she worked as a scientist in her core research areas and on various projects, such as the FFG-funded FemTech project CATRINA. Since 202, Christina has been a research coordinator at RISC Software GmbH, where she works in national and international funding. In addition, she applies her research knowledge from human-machine interaction in a professional context and has been teaching courses on HCI, usability and user experience at Hagenberg University of Applied Sciences since 2012. As part of her work as a diversity officer at RISC Software GmbH, Christina is committed to the topics of equality and diversity in her daily work and in research projects.

Christina has been actively involved in several national and international research projects focusing on privacy, security, trust (uTRUSTit, PrimeLife), social networks (Picos), software engineering (Softnet), HCI topics for special user groups (Apsis4All), advanced interactions (AIR), serious games (HERMES, CATRINA), image search (PinView) and industry & manufacturing (MetaFacturing). Since 2019 Christina is a CPUX-F certified Usability Professional.
